Growing up in the Caribbean, I am no stranger to emergency preparedness. From hurricanes, floods, and even earthquakes; I’ve lived it all. When the shelves were bare and evacuation orders were sent, my family and I would often struggle to throw what we could into bags not only for ourselves but for all the animals at our family pet shop.
